WNYPRG uses a wide range of equipment. In fact, we use a lot of equipment that TAPS uses every week on their TV show. We are adding to our equipment when ever we find something new and interesting. However, we stand firm to the following list of tried and true paranormal gear.
1.) Video Cameras- we use Sony infrared day/night cameras. Our cameras are capable of 480 – 580 pixels. they are considered top of the line.
2.) Digital Video Recorder- we use a Texas instruments DVR with proprietary software for the clearest images posssible.
3.) EMF Meters – we use a Trifield EMF Meter, a Digital EMF Meter and a K2 EMF meter.
4.) Digital Voice Recorders – we allow each of our investigators to use what ever brand they wish as long as it is digital and downloads to a computer. our favorites are an RCA, Sony and Olympus Digital Voice Recorder.
5.) Stand Alone Video Cameras – We have several Sony hand held video cameras. We employ those with hard drive memory and DVD recordings. We also use several typical non-night vision cameras when necessary.
6.) Walkie – Talkies- each team carries a communication device whenever they leave the command center.
7.) Dousing Rods – several of our members have special abilities and they like to use dousing rods to assist in the investigation.
8.) typical Equipment includes, mini-mag lights, head lights, mini-chalk boards, powder traps, and scrabble boards.
WE NEVER, EVER, USE A OUIJA BOARD, and we recommend you don’t either.
