The term EVP stands for electronic voice phenomenon. It is best described as a disembodied voice captured by special voice recording devices. EVP’s are the most commonly captured paranormal events and they can determine if a haunting is actually occurring. Evp’s are usually the most frequent way of determining if a haunt is intelligent or residual.
During intelligent haunts, spitirts will answer questions posed to them and a residual haunt will simply pick up sounds that occur randomly.
The term EMF stands for Electromagnetic Field. These fields typically occur as a spirit is trying to manifest itself in some form. The theory is that the spirit must draw energy from something, usually the atmosphere, and this energy will collect in the confined area that the spirit is manifesting itself. A special meter is used to detect these fields.
Electric and magnetic fields (EMF) are invisible lines of force that surround any electrical device. Power lines, electrical wiring, and electrical equipment all produce EMF. There are many other sources of EMF as well. The focus of this discussion is on the basic understanding of EMF–that is, EMF associated with the generation, transmission, and use of electric power.
Temperature variations can occur during EMF spikes. The theory is that as a spirit draws energy from the atmosphere then the temperature in that confined area will fluctuate. This usually results in extreme temperature drops but it can also be manifested as an increase in temperature at times. When an EMF field is detected with an extreme temperature variation confined to a small location, it usually means that a spirit is trying to manifest itself. Watch to see if the location of the EMF field and Temperature variation moves around the room. If it does it is a good indication that something paranormal is about to happen.
Hmmm… interesting. I’ve never noticed temperature changes during EMF spikes, but I have noticed them during other phenomena that are related.
The high EMF are like food for interdimensional entities, it seems.
Interesting article. I hope to see more
